Patch 8.5 + a warning

Hello everyone,

first, it's confirmed: 8.5 for EU comes tomorrow (wednesday), for US it's thursday.

EU 0.8.5 patched client pre-download: http://dl.wargaming.net/wot/eu/files/WoT_0.8.5_eu_install.zip
NA 0.8.5 patched client pre-download: http://dl.wargaming.net/wot/us/files/WoT_0.8.5_na_install.zip
SEA 0.8.5 patched client pre-download: http://dl.wargaming.net/wot/sea/files/WoT_0.8.5_sea_install.zip

Second, I have recieved numerous "tips" about this line in the "in development" 8.5 section -
  • Price of suspension  T82T55E4 changed from 740 to 1850 credits
Another 83mm HE situation? Not this time. This has been fixed on RU server (the price was reduced to 1480 credits), so don't bother buying this.

    1. You can also download full EU 8,5 client by just replacing "sea" with "eu".

    2. It's slightly different for the US one, but still predicatable from past links:

    3. There's also the SEA on, but I don't think anyone really cares about that:

    4. And I can't read.....

  3. Eh, the profit would have been so small any way...
And why does they even change a suspension cost, who even cares if it costs only 740 credits more... It could nost 500-50000 credits and it still doesnt make any difference

    1. They probably changed that because the cost for stock and upgraded suspension was mixed up.

  4. It wouldn't be another 83mm HE situation for one simple reason - you could buy only one suspension.

    1. AFAIK you can buy as many as you want to in the store.

    2. Yes, you can buy as many as you want. You only need to research the modul.

    3. Same goes for KV3 engine "Cost of B-2CH engine changed from 17000 to 49500 credits" - that's even +45% profit compare to +25% with T82 tracks.

It seemed to much so last night I double checked RU patch notes and it was already reduced to 34000 and 1480. NA notes has been fixed while EU remains "profitable" ;)

  5. "the price was reduced to 1480 credits"

Nice. I think I'll be using this as a "safe deposit box". Sure, i want make profit. But I'll have some credits in reserve for the next 50% premium ammo sale.

    1. Did they announce this "price-reduction" in the patch-notes or did the players notice this after 0.8.5 went live?

    2. They changed it before Russian 0.8.5 went out I think

    3. It's allready in the EU patch notes:
      "T82
      - Price of suspension T82T55E2 changed from 1,850 to 740 credits
      - Price of suspension T82T55E4 changed from 740 to 1,480 credits"
      http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/235529-list-of-changes-in-version-085-compared-to-version-084-update/

And there are other modules that will be twice as expensive.

    4. I guess it was specially done for RU server as some kind of promo. Like with Mk3 shells.
So RU get promo. We get nothing.

  6. so if i will buy that for 1 million i will get more money when i will sell that after patch?

  7. they are stupid. they made the same mistake twice. I bet we`ll have a third for sure.

  8. There is a earning change:
    - Cost of B-2CH engine changed from 17000 to 49500 credits

But the engine name looks strange. For me it looks like the KV-3 engine V-2SN.

    1. No wait,

      Just checked here http://www.wotdb.info/#country=ussr
They fixed that cost to 34000.

It looks like WG is making this promos only for RU server. All the next ones dont get that promo.
Looks like it is done on purpose.

    2. It IS the V-2SN, written in azbuka. And no, they announced that earlier, but they changed it in Russian patch notes too, so Russians didn't get free credits either.

    3. Just a terrible google translate by WGEU, too bad the price was pretty quickly changed to 34000.

    4. I play also on the RU server. The price was 34000 silver there.

    2. Yes, the release of patch 8.5 - Wheres the source? Its common thing to link information where you gain it. Unless its leaked superdupersecret information which would reveal the source. But if theres some source that you can provide, please do so.

    3. I have my WG sources :) Of course, you don't have to trust me, but the source is usually never wrong.

    4. As was expected, secret sources. Thanks anyway, and keep up the good work.

  11. "EU 0.8.5 patched client pre-download: http://dl.wargaming.net/wot/eu/files/WoT_0.8.5_eu_install.zip" man 4.8 GB...Will I have to download the whole client tomorrow as well?? Why can't they make a update instead?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, tomorrow's patch will be only partial. This is for those who simply can't wait. Personally, I will simply wait and let the game patch itself.

  12. The patch format they've used in the past would mean that, when it's enabled, the client patch will be in this link

  13. - no plans for extra rewards for players with a lot of battles played
    - also, no special rewards for extremely good players are planned
    - it is not considered to introduce team "captains" (players with very good winrate) into random battles' teams

The questions that these answers came from are Bojan, Vajn and OVM at the same time.

  14. Hello I have a question for SS
have you somewhere a link to patch? not full client? :D 4.8 GB is to much for my slow inernet :D

  16. how do you install the installerpackage, it says its downloading another 3.6 GB of data in the launcher?!

    ReplyDelete
  17. So if you just download it, you can then play? Like right away?

    ReplyDelete
  18. IIRC the RU patch only file was about 560Mb...???

So no point in full client download, because they may change something last minute... then thats 4.8Gb wasted..

    ReplyDelete
  19. Downloaded from your link, started gclient, client downloaded another 4.8Gb, and now downloads patch.. A lot of wasted bandwidth, but ty for effort anyway. And rly nice blog mate!
